Description: Identity 1000 explores national identity from the perspective of young people and their communities in focused heritage learning. Focusing on 4 regions, all rich in local heritage that supports the national theme of identity, immigration & lost voices from the past 1000 years. By engaging participants & audiences alike, the effect & aim is to give them a national platform & awareness by broadening the reach for heritage learning in an exciting innovative way through the medium of drama, journalism and film making. Part of the legacy will be to educate & change the opinion of many who are ignorant of Britain's rich, diverse heritage resulting in a more positive outlook on matters of immigration & what it means to be British today.
